THURSDAY THINGS.

Today’s Thing: #ReliefPH #GlendaPH

Tuesday and Wednesday saw typhoon Glenda (international name: Rammasun) enter Philippine territory. A lot of my friends in Metro Manila got stuck in their homes without water and electricity (including WG1). Thankfully, some offices had people go home early the day before the typhoon’s expected landfall.

Still many of them, especially the ones who live alone, remembered how tough the typhoon season is as they dealt with anxiety over their personal safety. They have it better than most. But their experiences remind WG1 and me that the damage from these typhoons are real.

This season is a constant reminder to the Filipino people that we still have a long way to go. Rather than talk about resiliency and hope, I want to put the focus on action. Let’s all do what we can to help.

You can donate online through the Philippine Red Cross.
